{On a Whim}

There is something very whimsical about the transition from winter to spring, and as the Earth comes back to life, so do our wardrobes. Spring is a time to re-invent yourself, even if the 're-invention' does not get past your closet.

In today's post, we wanted to add a bit of magic to our blog. First off; the location. This is the epitome of pure Michigan. There is nothing quite as stunning as a forest slowly coming back to life, and it provided the perfect backdrop for our shoot.

For the outfit, we strayed away from an everyday attire. We kept the colors neutral and light. The differences in length between the duster cardigan and the fairy-like dress added a certain level of complexity to the look.  While this outfit may not be completely wearable, long cardigans are definitely a trendy necessity for the upcoming season (think of it as a warm-weather approach to the duster coat). For a pop of color, we added a thick bohemian head scarf that completed the look.

The shape of this dresses' bodice is unreal.

We love the addition of a snakeskin print to spice up the look.

 We are feeling some serious 'Twilight' vibes in these woods.
